How we got here

OvalEdge is built on the idea that if you connect the right people to the right data, they can do amazing things with it. We believe all employees in all departments can do their jobs better if they could develop insights from data across the organization. Here’s how this founding thought scaled to the universal data catalog and end-to-end governance suite we are today.

2013 - The company formed

OvalEdge was started with a vision of creating value from data. We started with a strong metadata catalog which created a solid foundation for upcoming development into the data governance space.

2018 - Acquired by ACCSCIENT

Successfully acquired by ACCSCIENT, a firm with strategic holdings in the financial, technology and healthcare sectors.

2020 - Positioned towards data governance

The data catalog evolved into an end-to-end data governance suite that allows organizations to seamlessly grow their data governance initiatives.

2024- Focused towards AI-powered data governance

The platform continues to advance, taking advantage of AI assistance in cataloging and PII protection.

2025 - Creating innovations in AI-agentic analytics
